SARNIA – Added another former Badger to The Den.
Infielder Braydon Mann has officially committed to Head Coach Al Bezaire and the Lambton Men’s Baseball Program for the 2026 season, and beyond.
Mann is the first commitment in the 2026 recruiting class for Bezaire and the rest of his coaching staff in what promises to be another talented group of incoming student-athletes for the program.
“I’m really excited to join a program with a winning culture,” said Mann. “I’m looking forward to doing whatever I can to provide for the team and help the group be successful.”
“I’m looking forward to helping the team be competitive again next season. I’m also looking forward to the academic side of things (at Lambton College), living on my own in residence, and getting to know a good group of guys on the roster.”
Mann, a five-foot-ten infielder, comes to Lambton College by way of Strathroy and Strathroy District Collegiate Institute. Mann traditionally plays at either second or third base, giving Bezaire and company options when it comes to the defensive lineup of the roster moving forward.
Mann joins the Lions from the storied London Badgers program, one that has yielded past and present Lions alike on the diamond. Mann and the Badgers play in the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO).
After being opponents in the past, Mann will now be teammates with current Lions student-athletes Myles Adamson and Ben Adamson. When he was part of the Badgers 17U program last summer, Mann faced the Adamson twins and the Badgers 18U program in the playoffs. Mann and company came away victorious in the game, but now Mann is looking forward to playing alongside the Adamson brothers and helping the Lions achieve provincial success in the OCAA.
For Coach Bezaire, he is excited about adding Mann to a talented group of returnees ahead of 2026.
“We are excited to have our first commit off the board for 2026, and Braydon continues that trend of recruits we want here,” said Bezaire. “He is a scrappy, hardworking, and versatile grinder who is motivated to do whatever he can to help us win ball games, and we expect him to fit in seamlessly with our current group of ‘dirtbags’.”
“He had expressed interest in joining our club for quite some time, and that really stood out to us. We are interested in any player who wants nothing more than to join our club. He comes from a well-coached and professional style program in the London Badgers, who I have nothing but great respect for. Playing for Coach Lumley, we know the type of player we will be getting. We hope he can add to an already potent offensive lineup while providing solid defense wherever we need.”
When asked what Lambton fans can expect to see from him on the diamond when he dons his Lambton number 16 jersey in the fall, Mann was quick to echo the same sentiments that Bezaire spoke.
“Excitement,” said Mann with a smile. “I’m going to work my tail off and try my best to contribute in any way that I can.”
Academically, Mann will be enrolled in the Pre-Service Firefighter Education & Training Program at Lambton College.
Mann joins a Lions program that is coming off a 2025 season that saw the program bring home its second consecutive medal at the OCAA Championships. The Lions posted a 12-6 record in the regular season, winning the regular season title for the first time in the program’s brief history. They were the 2025 OCAA Bronze Medalists.
Heading into 2026, the bulk of their roster is expected to return for another run at an OCAA Championship. The addition of Mann to the infield rotation helps fill some holes defensively due to the departure of some graduating student-athletes, and his bat adds more excitement to an already exciting lineup that features some of the league’s top hitters.
